Ahem…here they arenn1) Costilla Creek – north of Taos – high mountain valley – not a great photo but here’s what it looks like http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2512/4093992937_bde1a7315c_b.jpgn2) Cimmaron – east of Taos – small creek with small flow, and LOTS of rainbow and browns, lots of people too though, compared to the other spots listed here, but none compared to Colorado.n3) Red River – good flow and very desolate, especially in the upper reaches…i still am trying to hilke up into the high mountain lakes where it starts to find some Cuthroat and stocked Rainbows.

No problem It happens to the best of us.nnI’ll definitely go back to the Rio Penasco, but no more attempts at fishing other Sacramento Mountain rivers for me. nnWhat was your favorite river near Taos?

Glad you had a good time. Riudoso was a huge dissappointment fro me too. Next time do the extra time and head for Taos, or at least Tres Ritos. I know it’s an extra five or six hours, but i promise it’s worth it.nnThanks for the story,ndie fische
