Fly Fishing Film Tour 2009

Fly Fishing Film Tour Blog

I just read that the Fly Fishing Film Tour presented by The (excellent) Drake Magazine, is stopping in Austin in April. I bought my tickets a few minutes ago. I attended last year in Salt Lake City when it was the AEG film tour. I’m curious if it will be different. Check the schedule to see if it’s coming to a town near you. I highly recommend it for an evening of unbelievable fish porn, dramatic scenery, and usually some conservation info.

  1. Hey Dean… Craig Costa here in lovely Heber City Utah… Thought you would like to know that the Provo is fishing about as good as it gets for dry fly midge hatches… The Blue Wings are just starting to show up and the next 30 days include both dry fly action and some spawning rainbows.. The lower lake (Deer Creek) is finally filling for the first time in a couple of years and some of the lake fish are moving up into the lower section around Charleston. I had one day this week where the fish were up for 4 hours and 22-24 para midge were the ticket. 6X was the only way to go as the water is low and clear. We will have some melt this week and the lower river should darken some. Hope you are well…. Craig

  2. Hey Craig, nice to hear from you. Definitely missing Heber and the Provo. I'm hoping to take a trip out soon and will give you a call when I do. Enjoy the great conditions and talk to you soon.Dean
